Louisiana Swamp Tours this spring..
Well ASAP, I will be back to publishing regular posts here again.
In the meantime, I am very busy with swamp tours on a regular basis, but there is no regular schedule at de la Housaye's Swamp Tours because the climate changes with the season and I do not do tours during the heat of the day in the summertime because most people including myself, have enough sense to stay out of 95' heat.
In the summertime, I do sunrise and sunset tours, OR night tours all by reservation only.
And in the spring and autumn, I can do tours all day long if I so choose. But, please make a reservation before driving out there, otherwise you will not know that days schedule, and I could be booked solid. And yes, in the spring often times the boats are fully occupied.
And here is a sure sign that sring has sprung in south Louisiana: the alligators are out in abundance.
So many people are calling and wanting to know my regular schedule.
But...
I don't have one!
I adjust my schedule as the seasons dictate and so there is room for exceptions; but as a rule all tours are booked by reservation only and on a weather allowing basis.
Another sure sign of spring is the Purple Iris are blooming, as seen below.
Well this time of the year, the weather in south Louisiana is usually great!
So, if you are thinking about doing a Louisiana Swamp Tour in April or May, you can call me for a reservation and directions to the landing, at 337 298 2630.
I am Marcus de la Houssaye, le maitre'de du Bayou, and I will be the man driving the boat and conducting the tour.

Louisiana Swamp Tours in November
Cool mornings and fog hanging over the water at sunrise is what November is all about.
Here is a few photos from a couple of weeks ago, and giving us a preview of what the swamp looks like at sunrise this time of year as the water cools and we can enjoy natural air conditioning for a change.
If you are interested in booking a reservation for a swamp tour,
please be advised that my tours are by reservation only, and I can be reached at 337 298 2630
